Civic Education Summit
The Civic Education summit is an annual activity for academe, youth leaders, civil society, government, and the private sector to come together to discuss the status of civic education in the Philipines and its role in encouraging civic engagement and strengthening democratic participation.
About the Summit
The Civic Education Summit aims to elevate the discourse and understanding of civic education in the country. It will be a two-day hybrid activity where experts and representatives from the government, academe, civil society, student and youth-led organizations, private sector, and YouthLed partners will be invited to discuss the state of civic education in the country and highlight and present research done through YouthLed’s civic education program and various civic education programs in the Philippines.

Format
Hybrid format with plenary and breakout sessions that will be streamed via Zoom and through YouthLed’s Facebook Page. Selected participants will be able to participate in the live session in Ortigas, Metro Manila.

To establish the relevance of Civic Education as a foundation for safeguarding civic participation and democracy in the Philippines
Encourage civic participation
To encourage the Filipino youth, students, educators, stakeholders, and practitioners to take part in a coalition that promotes active citizenship and democratic governance through strengthened civic education.
