Local Youth Assemblies
The Local Youth Assemblies (LYAs) are platforms where youth can proactively engage with each other and form networks and coalitions around issues that matter to them.
What are LYAs?
Together with its partners, YouthLed aims to provide a platform conducive for formation of coalitions and assemblies led by Youth around key sectoral issues, especially in rapidly urbanizing cities and BARMM. The Local Youth Assemblies will open up opportunities for the youth to connect with each other, learn together, and discuss solutions to issues that are important to them.
Goals of the LYAs
The Local Youth Assemblies are envisioned to be spaces where:
Connect
Youth can connect with other youth leaders and youth organizations and develop the local youth networks
Assemble
Youth coalitions and assemblies form, anchored on issues that they prioritize
Enable
Youth coalitions and assemblies create an enabling environment for youth leadership development and youth-led projects
Participate
Youth coalitions and assemblies become a platform for youth participation in Philippine democratic governance
